At the end of last year, Russia collected 104.8 million tonnes of grain, including the 61.8 million tonnes of wheat.

As noted by P. Chekmarev, the wheat harvest will amount to 64 million tons. He also added that the quality of wheat the forecast is for the average, due to adverse weather conditions.

Currently, Russia has collected 16 million tons of grain, and by 17 July, the grain harvest may reach 20 million tons, said the representative of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation. The yield is more than 43 kg/ha.

Chekmarev also announced that the overall Outlook for the grain harvest in Russia is 106 million tons. Earlier, the head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev did not rule out that the grain harvest in Russia this year may be higher and reach 110 million tons.
