The grain harvest in Serbia has broken a seven-year record

The wheat harvest in Serbia this year was significantly higher than in 2015 - from 600 thousand hectares of collected 2.88 million tons of grain.
 
As says the head of the Department of crop production under the Ministry of agriculture of Milan Cupric, harvest record for the last seven years, the harvest is largely complete, there are still only a small territory in the mountains. The average yield was 4.8 tonnes per hectare.

Last year Serbia exported 1.1 million tons of grain this year, you can count on 1.5 million tons. Basically, Serbia is supplying grain to Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia (countries of CEFTA) is 55% and the rest to EU countries, primarily in Romania.

The price of wheat in Serbia is now 14-15,5 dinars per kilogram (1 Euro = 123 Dinara).
