Thus, imports of feed wheat in the current season will be reduced to 3.6 million tons (-23% compared to the 2015/16 season), FAS USDA predicts. However, the growing demand for bakery products will contribute to the growth of wheat imports in the country, especially from the United States.

Also, more restrictive measures were taken against the importation of alternative feed components, especially in the dry bard, which was previously subject to a 9% import duty. Despite the duties, imports of dry stillage for the period January-November 2016. increased to 0.6 million tons (+50% by volume over the same period in 2015).
