In January, exports of barley from France fell by 25%
In January, France exported 477,8 thousand tons of barley, 4% more than in the previous month, but 25% less than in January 2016.
Although shipments to the countries of North Africa were at a high level, export of barley continues to suffer from the absence of China, which last year was one of the largest buyers.
The largest purchasers of barley in January of this year were: Belgium (107,0 thousand tons), Jordan (88,7 thousand tons), Tunisia (88,1 thousand tons) and Algeria (67.3 per kt).
