In the southern, North-Caucasian, Central and Volga Federal districts continue spring field work. To the fertilizing of winter crops before the average annual terms have started separate regions of the northwestern and far Eastern Federal districts.

 

As of 20 March 2017 in the Russian Federation fueled 5.7 million ha (2016 6.3 million hectares) or 32.8% of the sowing area of winter crops. Including in the southern Federal district – 3.7 million hectares or 60,4% of the sowing areas, in the North Caucasian Federal district – 1.0 million hectares or 45.2 per cent of the sowing area in the Central Federal district is about 1.0 million hectares or 24.5% of the sowing areas, in the Volga Federal district – 43,2 thousand hectares or 1% of the sowing areas in the North-West Federal district – 19.3 thousand ha or 19.3% of the sowing areas. In the Krasnodar Krai and Republic of Adygeya carried out a re-dressing of winter grain crops.

Spring sowing in the whole country held on the square 596,1 thousand hectares or 1.1% of the forecast (2016 671,6 thousand hectares).

In the southern Federal district spring sowing is conducted on the area 461,3 thousand hectares or 7.4% of the forecast (2016 – 411,1 thousand hectares). In the North Caucasian Federal district – 131,1 thousand hectares or 7.3% of the forecast (2016 – 246,8 thousand hectares). In the Belgorod region sown 3.2 thousand hectares or 0.4% of the forecast (2016 – 13.7 thousand hectares), in the Voronezh region – 0,5 thousand ha.
