The new system adopted by the Ministry of agriculture of Japan, will allow to import up to 20 thousand tons of wheat annually and aims to meet the growing needs of the local millers of high quality wheat.

The new system involves the implementation of purchased wheat to local processors at a better price for them, which will be reviewed 2 times per year. In addition, the supply of wheat, with the exception of the Australian, will be carried out in bulk.

According to analysts, the new import will open great opportunities before US, the supply of wheat of which currently provide approximately 55% of the demand of the Japanese market grain.
