Export prices for Russian wheat of the new harvest last week continued to rise. "Over the last week the price of wheat of the new harvest rose by $6 per ton, this is mainly due to significant delay in the harvest due to cold weather in the European part of the country", — said the Director of Department of strategic marketing of CJSC "Rusagrotrans" Igor Pavensky.

According to him, at the end of the week wheat with a protein content of 12.5% was offered at $188 per ton (FOB) with delivery in July. The demand remained at the level of $182-185 per ton.

As said I. Pavensky, the world prices for wheat on Chicago stock exchange has risen in the end of the week to the highest in 3-4 months on fears, often speculative, for the condition of crops in the U.S. and other parts of the world, particularly in the black sea region.
