In the Irkutsk region in 2017, will be built and commissioned on 11 farms in the framework of the program on development of family livestock farms. This was announced by the Minister of agriculture Ilya Sumarokov during the visit opened family run livestock farm in the village of Stanitsa 3rd Kuitun area.

As told the head of the peasant (farmer) economy Elena Terekhova, the enterprise was established in 2010. In 2016 received grant support for the creation and development of family livestock farms in the amount of 10.5 million rubles. The grant was directed to the construction of a new dairy farm, which is equipped with modern equipment for milking, feeding and watering farm animals. Currently, the number of cattle the farm is 590 heads, including cows - 170.

– Self-sufficiency in milk production in Irkutsk region is 85.8 per cent and the opening of such farms with the state support solves the important task of ensuring food security in the region. Important socio-economic effect is primarily the creation of new jobs, and increase tax revenues to the budget, – noted Ilya Sumarokov.

During the implementation of the program on development of family livestock farms from 2012 to 2017 grants received 48 heads KFH. The grant amount for each family livestock farms depends on the proposed business plan and is 10 to 11 million rubles, with the involvement of at least 40% of equity. Grants are provided for construction of a farm, including its design, construction, purchase of agricultural machinery, trucks and special vehicles, technological equipment of breeding farm animals.
