Forecast global consumption of wheat in the agricultural year 2017-18 is fixed at around 738,3 million tons. The volume of global wheat trade, according to the report of IGC, will be 169,4 million tons.

Carry-over reserves most produced grain in the world in the 2017-18 season will be reduced by 2 million tonnes compared with the index of the current year (240,6 million tonnes).
