He noted that such success was achieved thanks to collaboration of farmers with the scientists that were able to create varieties of wheat with an average yield of 63 quintals per hectare.
As told academician of the Russian Academy of science Alexander Naidenov, last year in the whole of Russia no one received wheat first and second classes.
"But this year the farmers of Kuban managed to take that line. So, in 2017, the growers of the Caucasian district have collected 5 thousand tons of wheat of the second class, the Tbilisi – 4 thousand tons, Dinskoy, Ust-Labinsky and Tikhoretskaya – 3 thousand tons", — said the scientist.
