In comparison with the figure at the beginning of August last year, the stocks of grains in agricultural organizations decreased by 1,664 million tonnes (7.9%) to 19,313 million tons, procurement and processing organizations increased by 1,451 million tons (13.1%), to 12,542 million tons.

In particular, at the reporting date in the procurement and processing organizations were available 10,136 million tons of wheat (+11,3%), including food – 7,417 million tons (+13.4 per cent).

Stocks of barley by August 1, increased by 15.2% to 1,137 million tonnes and corn – by 54.8% to 702 thousand tonnes.

Also to the beginning of the reporting month increased stocks of buckwheat in 2,1 times – up to 42 thousand tons, oats – 30% to 64 thousand tons, millet – by 3 times, up to 24 thousand tons.

At the same time, a decrease compared to the figure at the beginning of August 2016, stocks of rye – 12% to 329 thousand tons, including food – by 9.7% to 310 thousand tons and rice by 54.8% to 19 thousand tons.
