Thus, from the beginning of the 2016/17 season (July-June) Romania exported 6716 thousand tons of wheat (4750 tons in 2015/16), which was an absolute record for the country. The previous record was set in the 2014/15 season – 4874 tons.

During the reporting period, Egypt lowered import Romanian wheat to 1109,5 thousand tons (1258 thousand tons for July-June 2015/16 season). Vietnam procures last time in November 2016 however, its share in the export structure remained strong - 838 thousand tonnes (62 tons). Jordan reduced the import of up to 627 thousand tons (772 tons).

Morocco was the third largest buyer - 647 thousand tons (0 tons).
