Situation on the world markets of oilseeds and products of their processing with 28.08.17 for 01.09.17

The world soybean market. The nearest future to 01.09.17 in the reporting week has strengthened by 1.1 USD to 346,12 USD. The soy market is gradually growing, but this growth to the end of the week turned out to be insignificant. However, it is worth noting that soybeans since early September, continues to grow with the support of stronger demand. Export sales of soybeans of the new crop 2017/18 MG amounted to 1,559 million tons (1.13 million tonnes in an unknown direction), that could not assure a market in high demand for culture and gave impetus to growth from the beginning of September. Export sales of soybean meal totaled 420,558 million tons and the volume of supply – 253,9 thousand tonnes sales of soybean oil totaled 21,137 thousand tons, and the supply – 15,483 thousand tons.

In the United States this season against soy manufacturers are clearly aware of the high level of demand. However, in this case very important is the time of the release of grown soybeans on the world market. China, as a major buyer of soybeans this year to start active purchases of grain later in the current season that can leave earlier soybean crop from South America without the basic demand and lead to greater competition.

Rape in the reporting week declined. Thus, the decrease for the nearby futures amounted to USD -2,97 438,67 USD. After a sufficiently long growth of quotations in July, in August the prices have not been stable. However, it is worth noting that this week the main pressure on the quotes provided forecasts rapeseed production in the EU, which are above the 6.7% level of the current season (of 21.65 million tonnes, MT). The forecast of acreage under soybean has been increased from 65.65 million tonnes to 6.69 million tonnes (2.6% higher than last year). However, it should be noted that the forecast yield of rapeseed market analysts has been reduced from 3.3 t/ha to 3.24 t/ha (4.9% higher than last season).

On the Malaysian stock exchange in Kuala Lumpur the nearest futures contract for palm oil for the reporting week declined by 12.0 USD to USD 627,75.
