EU raises forecast production and exports of wheat in the 2017/18 year
The European Commission increased the monthly production estimate of wheat in the 2017/18 year in the European Union by 1 million tons to 140,4 million tons
For comparison, in the 2016/17 year was made 133,7 million tons, says the report of the Commission published Thursday.
The Commission also downgraded its forecast for exports of soft wheat EU 2017/18 year by 1 million tons to 27.0 million compared to $ 25.1 million in the 2016/17 year.
Corn production forecast for 2017/18 year amounted to 59.1 million tons, slightly below an earlier estimate of 59.4 million and last season at 60.8 million tons.
