As noted, this decrease was predictable in light of the fact that India, a key importer of Indonesian product in August increased by 2 times the import duty on palm oil to 15%.

At the same time, palm oil production in Indonesia, according to experts, increased in the reporting month to 3.63 million tons against 3.59 million tons in August. Domestic consumption of the product also increased – by 25 thousand tons in comparison with the previous month.

Ending stocks of palm oil in Indonesia in September fell to 2.4 million tons against 2.6 million tons in August.
