Compared to the same period last season, exports declined by 6.5% (1608 tons), but was the third largest for the period.

This season, Egypt has won first place among buyers of Romanian wheat outside the EU. Import during the period under review amounted to 552 thousand tons compared to 128 thousand tons in July-August 2016/17 season.

The improvement in demand is noted from the Jordan, Ethiopia, Sudan, Djibouti, South Africa.

Due to the growth of the export potential of France, in the current season, Romania has lost the market of Morocco, has reduced purchases of Vietnam and Libya.
