I. Pavensky said that in July - November 2017 by rail was transported a record for this period, the volume of grain for export 6.5 million tonnes, which is 51% higher than the same period last year. Moreover, the intensified shipment of grain from distant from export platforms in the regions. So, the Volga region were sent to export a record 1,331 million tons of grain, which is 2.6 times higher than a year earlier, the Central Chernozem region has increased shipments by 137%, the Urals - at 176%.

Record volumes of grain for export during this period were sent from Volgograd, Saratov, Kursk, Voronezh, Orel, Orenburg and some other areas. The export of grain by rail from the main export-oriented regions - Stavropol and Krasnodar territories - above last year but below the level of 2015.

By the end of July - November the world's biggest buyer of Russian grain were Egypt, which imported 3.1 million tons versus 2.4 million tons a year earlier. Second place is held by Turkey with 2.8 million tons against 1.8 million tons, the third - Saudi Arabia - nearly 1.4 million tons compared to 909 thousand tons, respectively.

However, I. Pavensky said that the volume of domestic rail transport of grain in July - November this year amounted to 3 million tons, which corresponds to the average over this period.
