India increases the plan of public procurement of wheat in the new season
The government of India on Thursday decided on the plan for public procurement of wheat in the season 2018/19 (in India it starts on 01 April) – 32 million tons
In season 2017/18 public company FCI has purchased 30.82 million tons.
As a rule, all public procurement company lasts the first 3 months.
The plan of state procurement of wheat has increased, despite the decline in sowing area and expected gathering of the next harvest. Experts expect that wheat production will not exceed 95 million tons, then the officials in the government still believe 100 million tons and above.
