According to the Ministry, exports of wheat from Russia abroad in the last agricultural season amounted to 41 million tonnes, and the evaluation was increased from the June forecast (it amounted to 40.5 million tons).

In turn, the Ministry of agriculture, citing data of the Federal customs service (FCS) reported that grain exports from Russia in 2017-2018 marketing year totaled 52,422 million tons, and exports of wheat — 40,449 million tons.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of agriculture in its report indicates that the export of wheat from EU countries in the past season amounted to 23.3 million tonnes, from United States — 23.2 million tons. Canada exported 22.6 million tons of wheat, Ukraine — 17.5 million tons.

Russia ranked first in the world on export deliveries of wheat in the 2015-2016 marketing year, but next season it is a place lost: of the Russian Federation from July 2016 to June 2017 exported 27.1 million tonnes of wheat, the United States exported about 29 million tons. However, the record harvest in 2017 (135,4 million tons of grain, including 85.9 million tons of wheat) have allowed Russia to sharply increase exports.
