At the moment we have harvested more than 1 million 886 thousand hectares that is more than 60% of the total cultivated area. The harvest involves all areas of the region. Today the leader in the number of harvested fields has become Salskiy district, local farmers have removed 135 thousand hectares. the second places – Zimovnikovsky district, took third place in Zernogradskiy district.

These districts are leading in terms of gross collection. Another four districts – myasnikovskaya, Peschanokopskoye, Bagaevskiy, and Kagal – grain harvest exceeds 40 kg/ha.

- According to preliminary estimates, the harvest this year will match the average of the regional indices. However, it is already clear that the quality of grain this year is higher. The villagers say that the basis of already harvested their crop is a food grain of the 3rd class. The main task now - as soon as possible and without loss to collect a crop in no case do not allow agricultural burning, - said the first Deputy of the don Governor Victor Goncharov.
