The Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) is ready to ban the import of peanuts from the USA to the Russian Federation because of the incident at the candy factory "rot Front" (part of the largest Russian confectionery holding "United confectioners"). TASS said the assistant head of service Aleksey Alekseyenko.

"We're already doing it, we probably will close the supply of peanuts from the USA. The decision has been made, now it will be documented", he said.

Plans for the introduction of the ban, most likely, will be ready early next week, probably on Monday, added Alekseenko.

Earlier it was reported that the Rosselkhoznadzor detected the excess threat to human substances - cadmium in American peanut confectionery factory enterprise "rot Front" by the end of scheduled inspection company in Moscow in February 2015.

"Excess cadmium is small and not considered dangerous to humans. But cadmium accumulates in the body, and over time it can affect health, said then TASS press Secretary of the Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Trofimova.

Peanut was not under the restriction of bradenburg, since it refers not to the nuts, and legumes, she added.
