Film Director Nikita Mikhalkov and his brother, film Director Andrei Konchalovsky intend to create a new chain of fast food restaurants that would compete with Western fast food chains. On promotion of the idea which was supported by President Vladimir Putin, is required 971,8 million rubles, reports "Kommersant".

Konchalovsky and Nikita Mikhalkov turned in mid-March with a letter to the President of the Russian Federation, in which he asked to support the creation of a network of cafe-caterers under the brand of "Eat at home". This brand is owned by the wife of Andrei Konchalovsky, actress and TV presenter Julia Vysotskaya. It is planned that she will be the face of the new network.

The project Mikhalkov Konchalovsky and suggests that cooking "Eat at home" will be combined with small shops. The food will be prepared in kitchens in different regions of Russia, with 30-40% of the menu will consist of local ingredients. Kitchen factories will supply food including social institutions, including orphanages and boarding schools.

The aim of the project, as follows from the letter, is the promotion of import substitution and the creation of "alternatives to Western fast food chains". The authors of the idea believe that the project to pay for itself in less than five years. Pilot factories, kitchens filmmakers want to build in the Moscow and Kaluga regions, and run in test mode cafe 41 and 91 cooking.

At the end of March, the President instructed Vice Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich to consider the project Directors in the framework of the program of import substitution. As has informed the edition a source in the government, on 9 April Dvorkovich held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of economy, trade and industry, the Ministry of agriculture, administrations of Moscow and Kaluga regions, which will address the project Mikhalkov, Konchalovsky.
