Disastrous salmon fishing season in the far East became the reason of increase of the prices of caviar this year, which broke the mark of 3 thousand rubles per kilogram, reported "Interfax" head of the information Agency on fisheries Alexander Saveliev.

According to him, only in the far East (not to mention other regions of Russia) in September caviar salmon fish species has risen by 20 %. The cost of a kilogram of red caviar production in 2014 on average increased by approximately 500 rubles - up to 2281 2747 rubles, while fresh red caviar traded at the price from 3 thousand to 3,500 rubles per kilogram.

According to the Center of the monitoring system of fishery and communications, the catch of Pacific salmon in 2015 amounted to 334 thousand tons, which is 47 thousand tons less than indicators of 2013 (the landings of salmon are compared between odd, "salmon", and even "relocatefile" for years).

However, only a third of this amount is supplied to the domestic market.

"Even on such a popular fish, like pink salmon, prices are "overheated", and she confidently moves into the premium segment. This is reflected in the volume of purchases, though approaching the main season sales - the fourth quarter", - noted the Saveliev.

Fish is among those foods that have risen the most in 2015. According to Rosstat, referenced Savelyev, from September 2014 the rising price of frozen fish was 36.6 % - from 101 to 138 rubles per kilogram. The transportation of fish from Far East to Central regions of Russia practically has not changed compared to the previous year and to date remain at the level of 445 thousand tons.
