For the 2015/16 marketing year, Ukraine will retain its position as one of the world leaders in production of sunflower seeds with a projected $ 11 million tons. About it on November 5, in his speech at the international conference "Fat-and-oil industry-2015" in Odessa, said the General Director of Association "Ukroliyaprom" Stepan Kapshuk.

"The achievement of this indicator will allow the production of sunflower oil in Ukraine in the current season at 4.5 million tons, of which 4,1 million tons will be exported", - he added.

Speaking about the forecast of volumes of production of other major vegetable oils in Ukraine for the 2015/16 MG, S. Kapshuk said that for soybean oil to evaluate the Association are respectively 200 and 180 thousand tons, rapeseed – 150 and 120 thousand tons.

"Thus, we forecast that total production of vegetable oils in Ukraine will increase from 4,491 million tons in 2014/15 my to 4.83 million tons in 2015/16 MG, and their exports – from 4,112 to 4.4 million tons", - summed up S. Kapshuk.
