New Zealand company Fonterra is one of the largest in terms of production dairy company. She plans to become Russia's partner in modernization of the dairy sector. This was at a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of agriculture said a member of the Board of Directors of Fonterra, writes RIA "Novosti".

According to CEO Theo Spierings, Fonterra was interested in investing in the Russian "milk" as in physical terms, and investment in agricultural technology and human capital.

He also noted that "political turbulence indirectly influenced the position of the dairy industry in New Zealand: they raised the prices of raw materials and contributed to the increase in the cost of production.

"However, our company looks at the future of the dairy industry with optimism and is completing negotiations with the Russian partners on the establishment of a joint venture," — said Springs.
