You must use all the scientific and production developments in Russian agriculture for development of agro-industrial complex, it is important that experts, farmers worked with the domestic planting material, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting with the head of administration of the Tambov region Alexander Nikitin.


"It's very important to support agricultural science professionals-farmers were engaged in our planting, our seed base, that is, all areas of plant breeding, genetics, what actually is intended to do agricultural science today. It is important to use all the features and of course those scientific and industrial developments that have the Tambov region", — said Medvedev.

Nikitin reported to Medvedev that in the first half of 2016, the pace of development of agriculture in the region at 100%, slightly lower than in 2014-m — 104,5%. He said that the average yield of 35 centners per hectare, but the majority of advanced economies — 40 quintals and above.
