Five and a half thousand tons of wheat of the fifth class and the same of barley, the Russian Government has allowed to realize from inventory the Federal intervention Fund for the needs of the TRANS-Baikal farmers affected by drought last year.

Grain supplies will be made from the elevators of the Altai, and Krasnoyarsk territories and Omsk region value from 5.5 to 10 thousand rubles per ton.

"Last year we started this work with the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, and just last week we received the order about allocation of grain reserves. Currently defined operators that will put the grain and then it will be implemented according to the needs of agricultural producers. The Ministry of agriculture will supervise the whole process, from grain supplies to the region, prior to its distribution to farms. Will not allow to inflate the price. It is clear that the existing procurement price for grain will still be added to the train fare. And even so its cost is acceptable to us, especially when many farms for the second consecutive year because of the drought, shortfall in harvest", — said the first Deputy Minister Vladimir Loskutnikov.
