According to him, now employees of the Institute are prepared to patent derived specifically for the Volga-Vyatka and Ural regions, a variety with a higher yield, to be included in the State register of crop varieties. This type of wheat has a high winter hardiness and resistance to fungal diseases - snow mould, Sclerotinia, brown rust.

"In five years of testing varieties found that the average survival 71% yield of winter wheat Italmas amounted to 3.47 ton / ha, 0.13 t / ha higher standard" — a story Lednev.

The Deputy Director of the research Institute noted that net income in the cultivation of wheat in this class amounted to 27.65 thousand rubles per hectare. The profitability of planting was estimated at 392%.
