The developers of the town of Kyustendil, chereshneviy the capital of Bulgaria, have invented a new fuel for anti-hail missiles. It is based on the product obtained as a result of processing of berries cherries.

"This eco-friendly replacement of currently used solid fuel anti-hail rockets. The main advantage is the complete absence of toxic chlorine emissions. In addition, the new fuel is much cheaper and easily preserved", — told the newspaper the Christopher Skandaliem, one of the leaders of the club of aerospace technology "zodiac", where there is this innovation.

He also said that trials of an experimental anti-hail rockets, charged with new fuel, were successful.

Fuel are of low quality berries is overripe, rotten, dried up, which had just been thrown away or left on the ground. After primary processing cherries turns biomass with high sugar content, which further and the result is a combustible material. A few spoonfuls of this substance is enough to launch a rocket weighing two kilograms to a height of over 600 metres.

In addition to combating hail, like a mini-missile can be used for various scientific purposes, said the innovators of Kyustendil.
