Estonian shops will refuse plastic bags
The Estonian government approved a bill concerning the phasing-out plastic bags in the country

When the law will come into force in 2019, retailers will have to offer customers alternative options for the packaging of food products. Exceptions are envisaged only for small plastic bags designed for packing bulk products, as well as milk.

The government encourages the population to gradually abandon plastic bags and switch to paper and reusable packaging nets for vegetables and fruits, which do not pollute the environment.
