So, in the far East basin produced at 8% (or of 227.2 thousand tons) more than last year – 3.1 million tons, including the catch of Pollock increased by 7.2% to 1.7 million tonnes, the catch of herring increased by 3.4% to 398,9 thousand tonnes, cod by 11% to 87.7 thousand tons, crabs – by 14.3% to 57 thousand tons.

Total catch in the Northern basin increased by almost 8 thousand tons or by 1.4% and amounted to 567 thousand tons In the fishery of cod produced 394,2 thousand tons, which is more than last year by 4%. The catch of haddock increased by 26.3% to 115,7 million tonnes, flatfish 8% to 10.4 million tonnes, catfish – by 13.7% to 7.6 thousand tons.

In the Azov-black sea basin produced 103 thousand tonnes, more than last year's level of 5.6%, or 5.4 tonnes the fishery of anchovy catch increased by 6.13% to 48.5 thousand tons, the Catch of sprat by 10% and made up 7.61 thousand.

In the Western basin caught by 8.7%, or 5.8 thousand tons more than last year – 72,63 thousand t. In particular, sprat produced 12% more 34 thousand t. the Catch of Baltic herring increased by 16.4% to 24.3 thousand tons.

Harvesting of aquatic biological resources decreased only in the Volga-Caspian basin. There only produced 68 thousand tons, which is less than last year's level of 2.4%, or 1.65 thousand tons While the catch of sprat has increased by almost 5% to 1.5 thousand tons.

The development of the Russian fishermen of quotas of catch of water biological resources in the Convention areas, open part of World ocean and in areas of foreign countries amounted to 681,4 thousand tons, which is less than last year's level of 4.4%, or 31 thousand tons.

At the end of last year it became known that soon the fishermen will be able to issue permits for extraction online. This opportunity will provide an electronic fishing log (API), which will be a modern alternative to paper statements. Its full launch is scheduled for 2018. API is a software and hardware complex, which fishermen can provide reporting on the production, acceptance, handling, transport and storage of catches of aquatic biological resources, and the production of fish and other production from water biological resources in electronic form.

As noted in the Federal Agency for fishery, the fishing community has shown increasing interest in the implementation process API. It is expected that once the software and hardware to work at full capacity, it will be possible to expand the functions of the sectoral monitoring system as a whole. The bill provides for with API permits for extraction of water bioresources online using electronic signature. This will eliminate the need for delivery of paper original of the permit to the vessel and in the Department of the user. Testing a new program will take place throughout 2017.
