In the Stavropol region completed the construction of the first phase of the greenhouse complex for year-round production danilishinyh crops – arugula, spinach, oakleaf lettuce, chard, mizuna and others. Its area is about 7 ha, maximum production will be reached to 2.31 million tons of products per year. According to the report of the Ministry of agriculture of the Stavropol territory, it is 5.8% of the current regional amount of cultivation of vegetables in greenhouses.

The project is implemented by "the Valley of the sun", which, according kartoteka.ru, is a subsidiary of the company "Belaya dacha" – the leader of the country for processing lettuce agricultural products. The cost of construction of the first stage of 2.53 billion roubles (16.6% of total investments in the construction of greenhouses in the Stavropol region in 2017).

Currently, Stavropol operates 128 hectares of greenhouses, in all-Russian volume of production of greenhouse vegetables, the share of the region is 8%. The region plans to reach the level of 15-20%.
