North-West administration of Federal service for ecological, technological and nuclear supervision issued the report on compliance with the new warehouse of methanol, JSC "Akron" to requirements of technical regulations, project documentation and energy efficiency.

New ground the warehouse area in m2 1624,9 consists of five storages with volume of 1000 m3 each for crude methanol and rectified different brands and four tanks 100 m3 for the waste material. The last received station of neutralization of effluents microgenetically (absorption mikroorganizmi).

The new warehouse has an overpass with three filling stations for rail tank cars and tank truck load-out trestle that has greatly improved the logistics of the shipment. A large part of warehouse equipment – Russian production.

"On the eve of the Year of ecology would like to acknowledge the environmental component of the implemented project. Mounted installation of the degassing removes dissolved gases from the methanol after the stage of synthesis that has not been implemented on the old basic warehouse. This is a very serious "green" move forward, — said the foreman of methanol, JSC "Akron" Oleg Alekperov. — Radically changed the system of control and security of storage of methanol. Around the tank farm system of the concrete embankment, which will not allow the methanol in case of emergency go to the ground. Warehouse successfully put into operation".

Methanol is used as raw material for many industrial syntheses. The main consumer is the production of formaldehyde, used to obtain formaldehyde resins, plastics and synthetic fibers. In addition, the product is used to obtain high-octane additive to fuel, for the synthesis of protein, production of chemicals, acetic acid, film and plexiglass. Facilities of PJSC "Akron" for the production of methanol is 100 thousand tons per year.
