The cost of the investment project "Miratorg" on creation in the Kursk region of large agricultural complex for growing, slaughtering and processing pigs will amount to 160 billion rubles, follows from the message of the Committee of information and press in Kursk region.

The investment project was presented in 2016. According to the regional administration, working in the October district is already underway. Over 100 thousand hectares of land, offer "Miratorg", 97.2 thousand ha already issued the rights for 2017, the area under crop and forage is expected to increase to 160 thousand hectares.

The President "miratorga" Victor Linnik said that in the spring the company will begin to implement the first phase of the project, which includes construction of meat processing complex with a capacity of 346 thousand tonnes of meat in slaughter weight per year. Investments in the first stage will amount to RUB 21 billion, the complex, counts Linnik, will be launched in 1.5 years.

The whole project will be implemented by 2020: by this time, "Miratorg" also intends to build slaughter, two feed mills and 16 pig farms. The planned capacity of 4.5 million pigs per year or 13.5 thousand per day, the capacity of the line cutting will amount to 1.2 thousand tons per day. Output to full capacity as processing and slaughtering, it is expected until 2024.
