On the don in all categories of farms in January 2017 produced 27.1 thousand tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight, which is 4.3% below the figure for January 2016.

Milk production in January 2017 decreased by 0.1% and amounted to 43.8 thousand tonnes. Eggs produced 176,2 million units, 11.8% more than in January 2016.

Last year in the region of meat production in live weight was 360,7 thousand tons (+9,2% compared to the year 2015), eggs produced 2126,3 million (+11,5%), milk – 1088,1 thousand tons (equivalent to indicator 2015).
