Taiwan has banned the transport of poultry from bird flu
The Taiwan government prohibits transport of birds for seven days, beginning February 17, as part of ongoing efforts to curb the spread of avian influenza, said the Council of agriculture (COA)

Local media reported that the ban will not apply to chickens or chickens grown indoors and shipped directly to the slaughterhouse, said COA Minister Lin Tsung-Hsien.
