The increase in quota and a favourable commercial environment has allowed companies in the region to reach in 2016, a record for the last 15 years, catch exceeded 830 thousand tonnes of aquatic bioresources, according to the administration of Primorsky Krai.

The company Primorye produce Pollack, herring, saury, squid, herring and mackerel. In 2015, enterprises of Primorye caught 739 thousand tons of water biological resources, or 17% of Russia's total catch and 26% of the catch in the far Eastern fishery basin. The basis of the catch was Pollock, herring, squid, sardine, Grenadier, crabs, lemonema, Atka mackerel, cod, halibut, flounder, shrimp. Exports of fish and seafood exceeded 500 thousand tons.
