According to official data, over the past 11 years (2005-16.) in the country significantly decreased the production of milk – by 20%.
In the same period was observed a reduction of cattle, the decline has reached 45%, writes Latifundist.com with reference to Director of marketing and communications for agropromholding "Astarta-Kiev" Nikolai Kovalsky.
"This suggests that the livestock industry of Ukraine are killed", — said the expert, adding that in neighbouring countries we see a different situation. Thus, in Poland during this period the milk production increased by 20%.
"Until we have the production of milk drops, in the advanced countries are doing everything to get it developed!", — summed up Mykola Kovalsky.
In 2016, all categories of farms in Ukraine produced nearly 10.4 million tons of milk (of-2.1% compared to the same period last year).
