The interest of farmers to such technologies as remote sensing of land, unmanned aerial vehicles and other geospatial technologies is limited to pricing policies of suppliers of these technologies, said the Director of Department of development and management of state information resources APK Igor Kozubenko. In this regard, he urged the developers in the formation of prices of production, used for needs of agricultural producers to be more flexible and customer-oriented.
It should be noted that the market of geospatial technologies for agriculture is attractive to specialized companies. So, according to experts of the arable land in the Russian Federation, only 8-10% is used of remote sensing technology in land.
The results of the space are in demand not only for agricultural producers but also for the regional governments in agriculture, who use them in their information systems. However, the high cost prevents the widespread use of these technologies.
