During the working meeting in Arkhangelsk Deputy Chairman of the government of the Arkhangelsk region Evgeny Fomenko and Deputy Chairman of the government of the Republic of Komi - Minister of agriculture and the consumer market Anatoly Knyazev discussed the acquisition of the "frost" cows.

"We want about a thousand head of purchasing outside the country, inside we have a (reserves) have been exhausted. A more viable option, which would have made us cows that are adapted to Northern conditions. We will also scrutinise, select economy" - said Knyazev.

In the Arkhangelsk region representatives of the Komi Republic interested in breeding cattle Kholmogory breed adapted to Arctic conditions. The next stage is a visit of specialists who will select the animals.

Arkhangelsk oblast is also seen as a market meat products from the Republic of Komi, in particular of poultry meat.

"We (your market) is not fully closed, there is a different market. Us Mari go... they have a large volume, they produced about 100 thousand tons of meat, we produce 20 thousand tons of poultry meat and to compete on price with them harder. I want to reach out to you on the market, show our products," - said the head of the delegation of the Komi Republic.

According to Knyazev, the livestock products of the Republic is represented only in the regions of Pomerania, which border with the neighboring region. In turn, representatives of the Komi Republic is interested in the products of fish processing plants in Arkhangelsk region.
