At the end of April this year, the number of cattle in farms of Krasnodar territory of all agricultural producers amounted to 538 thousand (-0,2% compared to the same period in 2016), of which cows – 213 (1.6 million%), pigs – 378 (-17,3%), sheep and goat – 238 thousand heads (+4.4 per cent), according to the materials krasnodarstata.

Meat production of cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight in January-April this year amounted to 151 thousand tons (-2,4%), milk – 459 thousand tons (+1,5%), eggs - 576 million units (+7.0 per cent).

The share of households, farmers and individual entrepreneurs accounted for 27% of meat and 34% of milk and 38% of eggs. During the reporting period, one cow was milked 2.3 thousand kg of milk (+4.1 percent). On average, one hen in this category received 96 eggs (-6,8%).
