The event is held in the format of the exhibition-demonstration of agricultural machinery and technologies under the open sky on the basis of Federal state budgetary scientific institution "Agricultural research centre "Donskoy".

"The event will be held on the 80th anniversary of the Rostov region and should become the largest regional demonstration area of modern resource-saving technologies in agricultural production and breeding achievements in plant cultivation and best agricultural equipment", — said at the meeting dedicated to the preparation of the event, first Deputy Governor of the Rostov region Victor Goncharov.

Rich program of the event includes a static inspection of the exhibition, conducting a field demonstration of various types of agricultural machinery. Planned an extensive cultural program – performances of folk groups.

In addition, in the framework of the "Day of the don fields" will be an expanded use of seed meeting on preparation for carrying out of harvesting of early grain crops in all natural-agricultural zones of the region.
