So, in its updated report, analysts raised the estimate for world production in the current year by 0.6 million tons to 66 million tons.

In particular, the updated value was significantly increased for key producers of palm oil: Indonesia to 35.6 (32,1) million tons and Malaysia to 20 (17,3) million tons. Also to increase production of product of Thailand – 2,1 (1,8) million tonnes and Colombia – of 1.46 (1,14) million tons.

As expected, relatively low palm oil prices, which are observed at present and the inadequate supply of other vegetable oils will lead to the fact that the global palm oil exports in January-September of the current year will exceed the previously expected 2.9 million tonnes.
