Russia's decision to ban the import of live pigs and pork from the Czech Republic is correct, as the EU is not able to contain the spread of the virus, said the representative of "Miratorg".

"The decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor absolutely predictable and correct. The outbreak of ASF in a country that was previously free from the disease, confirms that the EU is not able to contain its spread. It is obvious that exactly the same measures in relation to the Czech breeders will take many other countries" – quoted by RNS the company representative.

We will remind, since June 30, 2017, the Rosselkhoznadzor imposed a temporary ban on exports to Russia of live pigs and pork from the Czech Republic. This decision was made in connection with an outbreak of ASF in the Czech Republic, stated in the materials Department.
