Russia started deliveries of chilled lamb to Iran, sending the first batch of Russian production of meat July 5, to information on the website of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

Previously, the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Iranian veterinary organisation has agreed on requirements for exported from Russia chilled lamb, and also approved the relevant veterinary certificate.

"According to the requirements of the Iranian side the slaughter of small ruminants is produced under the control of veterinary specialists of competent authorities of Iran and representatives of the specialized body on certification of "Halal", – says the Rosselkhoznadzor.
