July 10, the Agency held a meeting of the organizational Committee on preparation of the International fishery forum and exhibition of the fishing industry, seafood and technology with the participation of representatives of major industry associations and enterprises, research organizations, Foundation "Recongress" and Expo Solutions Group. The forum you need to play at a high level, so that later he became "the main event in the fishing industry", announced the head of the Federal Agency for fishery Ilya Shestakov.

The organising Committee approved the dates of the forum – from 14 to 16 September and a platform – exhibition complex "Lenexpo" in St. Petersburg, whose history began with the holding in 1968 of the international exhibition "Inrybprom". The Chairman of the Committee on industrial policy and innovation of St. Petersburg Vadim Khrabrov assured full support from the city authorities.

The programme of the forum which in General is already formed, includes a plenary session on the theme "Global look at fisheries in the World ocean: cooperation or competition", scheduled for September 14, and several round tables on current topics. However, this program can be expanded, if the business received additional proposals for the organization of thematic discussions.

According to the head of the Agency, participation in the forum in General, confirmed Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. "We also expect fairly good participation by the Ministers of fisheries of other countries. We already have confirmation from the Minister of fisheries of Norway, there is prior consent from the Minister of agriculture of Morocco and the Minister of fisheries of the Faroe Islands", — said Ilya Shestakov.

He appealed to industry associations with a request to attract foreign partners to participate in the forum and exhibition. President VARPE German Zverev told that the work in this direction is already underway. It was agreed with the head of the all Japan fishing Association. In addition, invitations are sent to the leadership of the European fish processors Association, the Union of fishermen of Norway and the Chinese Association of fishermen and fish farmers.

The meeting also noted the need to connect to this work of the departments in the regions and to more actively inform industry participants about the exhibition and the forum.
