"The field of convergence of" Black sea"
Post-release of the OIV (International Organization of vine and Wine) on the results of the IV black sea Winemaking Forum, held in Moscow from 30 June to 1 July 2017, published in the 6 official languages of the OIV

Every year the black sea Forum, held under the high patronage of the OIV (International Organization of vine and Wine), and under the chairmanship of Mr. Vitaly Merkusheva, brings together participants in the wine sector of the black sea countries.

400 exhibitors: wine producers, oenologists, sommeliers, distributors, scientists and experts, government officials and journalists from more than 20 countries participated in this Forum. The aim of the Forum participants was to establish economic and technical cooperation, special importance was attached to the General development of the region, directions of development of the wine sector.

 

During the conference, dedicated to the principles of work and interaction of various market participants, the General Director of the OIV Jean-Marie Oran presented the analysis of the main world tendencies of development of viticulture and winemaking. Special attention was paid to the so-called "fields of convergence" in the grape and wine sector of the black sea basin and the respective directions of such cooperation, the potential pool of activities that can promote such cooperation. (The proposals of the Forum participants expressed at the conference will be devoted to individual post-release black sea winemaking forum).

The wine exhibition organized in the framework of the Forum presented more than 70 companies.

During the opening ceremony Jean-Marie Oran presented the high Award of merit in the field of viticulture and winemaking, Mr. lion Oganesyantz, Director of the Russian research Institute of brewing, nonalcoholic and wine industry.

Engineer, oenologist, educator, researcher, and, finally, Professor, 2015. - academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lev Oganesyants has dedicated his career to the wine sector of the industry. Author of over 350 scientific publications and about 15 monographs, one of which was highlighted OIV and dedicated to the history of viticulture and winemaking in Russia. Leo oganesyantz many years personally carried out the work on interaction of the Russian Federation and the OIV and was the official representative of Russia in OIV.

Director of the OIV expressed his deep gratitude to academician Oganesyantz for his long and fruitful work in promoting cooperation between OIV and the Russian Federation.
