From July 2017, the Arab Republic of Egypt entered into force the Decree of the Prime Minister "Regarding the import of some strategic agricultural products," which defines a list of strategic agricultural products. This was reported to UNN in the press service of Gospodarevskaya.

In accordance with the provisions of the said Resolution under the strategic agricultural products, you should understand these types of goods imported wheat grain, corn (used for making fodder) and soya seeds.

The document also notes that the strategic agricultural products can be imported only with the permission of the General administration of control over export and import of Egypt, but such a requirement does not apply to competent authorities for the importation of these products.

Beside it is determined that the General authority's control over export and import is the only Agency authorized to carry out verification of strategic agricultural products imported according to the Standards of Egypt and other terms, conditions and requirements relating to the quarantine of agricultural products, approved by the Ministry of agriculture and land reclamation.
