Elena Dyatlova, acting Minister of infrastructure development of the Kaliningrad region, says that this growth is today:

"In the first half of 2017, compared to the same period last year the volume of cargo handling of the port complex increased by 8%, and rail freight transport – by 9.4%".

According to Elena djatlova, development of transport complex of the Kaliningrad region in the period 2017-2027 years it is planned to implement many activities. This and the construction of infrastructure for the FIFA World Cup 2018 and the implementation of the Federal target program for Kaliningrad region development until 2020, which will also provide an opportunity to increase the capacity of the road network in the region.

Interaction with Federal authorities on reconstruction of airport "Khrabrovo" and the construction of the international marine terminal to receive cruise and cargo ships in the town of Pioneer. Organization of transportation of passengers by rail in the suburban message on territory of the Kaliningrad region, thus to keep the fares for the population on the solvency level. The development of the NGV market, which will allow to increase the share of vehicles using natural gas (methane) as motor fuel.

Elena Dyatlova will speak on the first day of the IX Baltic transport forum report "Strategy of transport infrastructure development of the Kaliningrad region".
