Farmers in Krasnodar region are afraid that in the coming years will produce more grapes than they can recycle wineries, told reporters Thursday the Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. The regional authorities, farmers and winemakers are planning to redistribute it between the wineries to refuse the import of material, said in turn Deputy Governor Andrei Box.

"We have a unique situation where we fear that in the coming years will produce more grapes than we can process," said Kondratev.

He stressed that currently the Kuban wine-growers began to use not only imported, but also grown in Russia, planting material, and the quality of the Kuban wines comparable with the European. "Today the Kuban wine is not shy to entertain guests, the first person of the state", - said the head of the region. "Over the past three years we have laid a lot of vineyards, which are beginning to bear fruit. And to move from region to region the grapes not the wine producer loses their license," - said in turn the Vice-the Governor.

He explained that in order to avoid overproduction, the government and farmers agree on the redistribution of grapes in the region are still a lot of factories that make wine from imported wine and ready to take on the processing of domestic raw materials.

Box said that given the built in 2017 1.5 thousand hectares of vineyards of their total area in the region is 26 hectares and contains about 200 thousand tons of technical (wine) and table grapes - 40% more than in Soviet times, of which 190 thousand tons will be recycled (according to the regional Ministry of agriculture, informed the tenants of the Kuban has collected 237 tons).

Box said that next year will again increase the amount of state support for the establishment of new vineyards.
